The next Gaitherin will be held at

Alford Community Campus

from Monday 12th October 2026 to Friday 16th October 2026

for Participants in S1 upwards to aged 18.

Registration will open on 17th August and then close on 18th September so please ensure you registerbetween these dates.

The costs for families for the Gaitherin Week are:

£160 first participant
£130 second sibling
Third sibling free.

A Booking fee of £50 must be paid when registering to guarantee your child’s place and choices.  Due to last minute cancellations in previous years this booking fee is non-refundable.  The full amount payment date is 18th September.   When registration is closed and you have paid the full amount more details will be emailed to you.

In line with Aberdeenshire Council Benefit-related concession regulations, a 60% concession applies to families on a low income. Please visit here to check your eligibility and the evidence required.

We will be providing accommodation for this October’s Gaitherin at Sir Arthur Grants Centre, Monymusk.  Accommodation is offered from Monday – Friday at a cost of £140 including all meals, evening activities (Tutor concert, bonfire, movie night) and transport between venue and accommodation.

We will be providing lunches included in the cost this year at the Gaitherin, this is a great social opportunity but if your child would prefer to bring a packed lunch that’s okay too.

We will have buses available this year, a range of bus stops will be listed on the registration form.  The bus stops will depend on the number of passengers.    The cost of the buses will be £20 per person.
