The Gaitherin’s Committee is made up of Volunteers some of these are Trustees, Staff members, ex-participants or parents of participants past and present.  They meet about six times a year usually online in the evening. They all ensure the charity is run according to its constitution and aims and is governed correctly.  

We are very luck to have so many of our Youth workers who are willing to give up their free time to help run the Gaitherin. We currently have four committee members who are not staff and only one of these is a currently parent of a Gaitherin participant! We would love to have more parents on board, you will find out about the work involved in organising a Gaitherin before, during and after!! We are a very friendly bunch and you will get to know the wonderful staff who look after your participants during the week.

New volunteers are always welcome and there are always lots of jobs to do whether it’s during the week or all year round, you will always be found a job!

Volunteering Positions during The Gaitherin week,

There are a variety of jobs that we need help with during the week if you are available to help with any of these jobs please tick which ones you can help with. You can chose as many options as you wish but please make sure you let us know if circumstances change and you can't help. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch when registration closes with more details.
Food Preparation and serving at the Academy
We need volunteers to prepare and serve lunch every day and dinner on Friday.
Clear up Help on Friday
We need help making sure that both SAGS and the classrooms are left neat and tidy. All lost property is gathered together for participants and parents to check on Friday evening.
Concert Help Tuesday and Friday
Help needed at both the Tuesday Tutors Concert and Friday Night

If you think you can help with any of these roles or would like some more information please tick which one interests you and we will be in touch with more details. These are all jobs currently done by committee members or youth workers and we would really appreciate some more help.
